Spring in Silicon Valley is breathtaking because of one word: GREEN. Now is the prime time to experience Fremont Older Preserve, in the foothills at the border of Saratoga and Cupertino. Take your thoughts, your stress, your screen-glazed stare, your bike, your baby, your dog—and be refreshed. The rolling hills are lush and speckled with wildflowers, and the views of the valley & the bay are stunning. My mom grew up riding her horse on these trails in the 1960s. I enjoy hiking and running Seven Springs Loop Trail, which is about 3 miles total. Go by yourself, go with a friend, go with your children, go on a date; just go, and leave refreshed. Fremont Older trails connect up with Garrod Farms and Stevens Creek Reservoir.
