Be: Bold, Part II

Be: Bold, Part II

Yesterday, I told the story of boldly asking a stranger for a boat ride on Lake Tahoe. Some fear hit me once my family of 5 was loaded onto Dave's boat and under his captaincy. After we'd circled around the island, Dave scared me out of my wits when he started driving the boat like a crazy man. This clip was taken by my husband right after Dave's prank. Listen for my nervous laugh that communicates: "I'm ready to get back on shore." Being bold involves risk, and without risk, life can be rather bland. As Eleanor Roosevelt famously said, "Do one thing every day that scares you." That day in Emerald Bay, I lived out Ms. Roosevelt's counsel. Will you do something today that scares you, however big or small? It's so good for your soul!
