Get: Discovery Museum Pass

Freebie alert! Come n' get it! Santa Clara County Library District is giving a free pass to the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose when you sign up for their summer reading program. I was pretty stoked to stumble upon this gift. It costs $13 per person to enter the museum. In a few short minutes, I was able to sign up myself for the adult reading program and my kids for the children's reading program (note: there's no obligation to follow through and participate). In return, I received four passes, a $52 value.

Now I'm waiting for the next blazing hot day when it's too hot to even swim. That's when I'll gather my ducklings and announce we're spending the day exploring the air-conditioned Ducky Museum. This is our nickname for the place; the first time we went, there was an enormous yellow duck topping the building (pictured below).
