Go: Rancho San Antonio

Today I'm highlighting Rancho San Antonio Preserve in Los Altos. Honestly, I have a lot more exploring to do there—I've barely scratched the surface of this 4,000 acre outdoor wonderland. There are 24 miles of trails to hike, run, bike, and horseback; there is a working farm with cows, pigs, goats, sheep, and chickens; and the icing on the cake is that parking is free. I'm so thankful for the people who thought and fought to protect open space in Silicon Valley. Go enjoy Rancho San Antonio, and please share tips and favorite trails in the comments.

When I was leaving Rancho a week ago, a wild turkey turkey popped out to bid me farewell! I quickly pulled over, put on my hazards, grabbed my camera, stalked him, and got his portrait.
